New Tricks

Some may wonder why it has taken this long for a software engineer and stay at home mom to put a blog out there, but we’ve gone and done it and now have this website to share with our friends and family. We expect that mostly this blog content will entertain our moms but hope that others will enjoy it, too. These are some fun & crazy days that we’re having with our young family so it also seems like a great idea to document it all for our own memory’s sake. So for our first trick, Brian & Anna present this blog “The Full Catastrophe”.
Trick #2 – Oscar has not worn a diaper in many days/nights and has had just a few accidents. Let’s not say just yet that he is potty trained, we’re certainly in the one-day-at-a-time mode here. It has been at least 18 months in the works to get to this point (and he is the last three year old we know to be potty trained). We’ve been counseled and are learning that preconceived notions of “how things ought to be” are nothing more than parental hang-ups. These hang-ups are so hard to get over and have very little to do with what your kid is going through. So anyhow, Oscar is doing great and we are so proud of him. Oscar is mighty proud of himself, too.
Trick #3 – Laurel is crawling — watch out world, here she comes!
