Yesterday afternoon Oscar played in his room instead of taking a nap. He naps only about 50% of the time these days. I make him stay in his room if he chooses not to sleep and get a little break, although I do have to put up with crazy banging of toys and such. He gets pretty creative when he’s forced to play by himself. Yesterday every time I’d walk by his door he had placed a different toy in the hallway. What was going through his mind when he decided to do that?
Unfortunately he does spend the afternoons and evenings of no nap days in a fog. One no nap afternoon we had him in the car for a short ride. It got kind of quiet in the backseat and when we looked back we saw Oscar enjoying his snack with his eyes closed and head bobbing forward. He’s a nap-snacker!
