Cowles Mountain can be grueling. Good job Oscar. If you're ever up for a slightly longer (six miles round trip), but slightly less vertical hike, and are in the Scripps Ranch/Poway area, there is a nice trail called Iron Mountain.

Ah, so it is Dark Night, not Dark Knight, huh? Shows what I know. Your post made me laugh though...major fun buster! Just think, if you guys had moved to SD instead of IL, Jim could've gone to the movie with Brian instead!

I had to reply about The Dark Night. It opened on Jim's birthday so of course we had to go-us and everybody else including a guy in full "Joker" costume. About 30 minutes before it ended, the power went out in the theater and never came back on. just a little bit of a buzz kill, to say the least. Happy birthday to Jim. We still don't know how it ends-Brian, don't tell us.
I don't even want to know how that guy in the Joker outfit felt.
