The Full Catastrophe

What a night! What a morning! We are so proud in this house to have a new president after eight long, hard, greedy, misdirected years. America’s standing in the world is lifted. Malia and Sasha are getting a puppy!

Our joy and pride is tempered by the fact that Prop 8 has passed. California has legalized discrimination and along with our friends and neighbors, our hearts have been broken. Losing this issue by just four percentage points tells me that this issue is far from settled.

Thanks for voting No on 8. There are people all over the country that are heart broken about it passing. Have faith, change is coming!
