Am I not a man? And is a man not stupid? I’m a man, so I married. Wife, children, house, everything. The full catastrophe. — Alexis Zorba
Anna’s dad, Jan, is fond of quoting this line from the movie “Zorba the Greek” whenever the Schulz family gets together (tongue planted firmly in cheek, of course). Even though this quote is husband-centric, Anna and Brian both feel that they’re equal participants in and contributors to the “full catastrophe”.
This blog is dedicated to the certain joys and catastrophes that our family (and most young families) experience.
Interesting indeed! I loved this old Zorba quote when I was 20. Today I’m 45 … and I’m there. Oh yes, I’m there! Anders (Oslo, Norway)
