I understand that today is Blog Reader Appreciation Day, so I wanted to shine a light on our most frequent commenter, my friend Carrie. Carrie is one of those special people that I grew up with who I’m still friends with today. She’s also a blogger and on her site, Whole Cloth Designs, she discusses her artistic and family endeavors (among other things). I wish I was as talented and driven to create as Carrie is (if only for such interesting things to document on this website!). You can purchase her original works of art through her Etsy shop. I didn’t know how wonderful blog commenting was until I began writing for this site. Thanks to Carrie and all of our other commenters for those little bits of encouragement!

For fun I dug up this photo of the two of us in the prime of our adolescent awkwardness. What do you think, Carrie, are we 8th graders here?
